Since halloween is coming up and we are all in the mood for something spooky and scary, i thought i would share some of my favorite horror mangas. I love horror stories when they're drawn in manga style because to me they just look a big more creepier than if they were cartoons. Just a fair warning though, some of these stories made it hard for me to sleep, but thats part of the fun right?
Fuan No Tane
Now this is a manga full of short stories about urban legends and ghosts and just really creepy stuff! It isn't really gory as much as just stories that will eat your thoughts up and make you feel as if someone(something) is watching you. This manga gave me the most trouble sleeping so be warned!
Uzumaki
This manga comes in 3 volumes and is definitely worth a read. This doesn't have ghosts, but it is gory and more of a "what the hell is going on here?!" kind of a story. I loved this manga since im more into gore than paranormal activity. I would consider this manga to be my favorite!
Ibitsu
You're just walking home one day when you see a girl dressed up in a lolita outfit in the garbage. She asks you one simple question; Do you like your sister? What happens next is what you'll have to find out by reading this! It's a ghost type of manga, although i didn't find it that scary since the likelihood of me coming across a lolita girl is pretty small. Be warned though, there are scenes where you see nudity (which kinda ruined the story for me).
Tomie
A bunch of stories surrounding this girl called Tomie that creates havoc all over the place! Guys think she's so beautiful and become so obsessed with her that they want to chop her up, which doesn't end up well.
Short Stories
The following are some stories by Junji Ito that are part of his horror collections. I really liked these, but they're not long enough stories for me to really go in depth about. I do recommend you check these out though!
