Photo Diary: El Kabayo Horsefest

Last weekend (Nov 16-17)  i visited Clark all the way north because my sister had a competition with her horse! It was really cool and a totally new experience for me, since i usually don't like horses. We left laguna at around 5 am and we were there around 8, there was a really nice sunrise too!

 The place we stayed at was really big! it really looked like an american suburbs area, with really big yards and no fences and the atmosphere felt really comfy! But the insides were not that great :c like the beds were either no support at all or hard as stone. 

My proud sister and her horsie. They competed in the competitions and the won tons of medals which is great cause this is my sisters first time competing! The Horse's name is Pandora and she used to be a polo horse so it's amazing how good she is at jumping and doing other things than polo! She's such a cutie, even her socks are adorable heehee.

My sister's horse gang! Theyre called the Marikina Equestian Center and all they're horses were so pretty.

They had some really young riders which totally amazes me cause when i was a kid i was absolutely terrified of horses! One of the kids even asked me if i rode horses and i said i didnt, so he said to my sister "Oh so you are like the brave one" and then to me "And you are the........ Uhm..."

Re-/discovered Bands ♥

The last few days i have been discovering a few new bands that i think are worthy of sharing since i am fangirling over them. They also reminded me of bands that i used to listen to but somehow forgot about, so i'll share them also with you

Hellacopters

Hellacopters is a garage rock band from Sweden formed in 1994 (wow this band is as old as me!). All their songs are pretty great, but i mostly listen to their albums from the 2000's. This was one of my favorite bands ever in 2nd year highschool! I was so obsessed with them that i swore my first tattoo would be their logo (the one with a cloud and lightning)! Although i don't have tattoos, i still love this band and can still sing to their songs after not having hearing them for 3 years.

The Gaslight Anthem

The Gaslight Anthem is an American rock band, and i only discovered them about a week ago?(i think?) I instantly fell in love with their song "45" because it just clicks. Personally i think the voice is one of the best parts of the band.. The music is great, and i think it's the kind of music that you would like for a long time. 

The Wonder Years

If i said The Gaslight Anthem was mature, this band is completely the opposite! Most of their lyrics are about problems young adults face. I discovered them a few weeks back, and ive been making my friends listen to their songs because omg some of their songs are about exactly how i feel. 

MMX

One of the people i follow instagram posted a video of her being at MMX's concert, and i decided to look them up. I can find almost next to nothing information about this band, except that their from England and they used to be called Francesqa. If you have time you should research Francesqa since their music is also really good!

Favorite Horror Mangas ♥

Since halloween is coming up and we are all in the mood for something spooky and scary, i thought i would share some of my favorite horror mangas. I love horror stories when they're drawn in manga style because to me they just look a big more creepier than if they were cartoons. Just a fair warning though, some of these stories made it hard for me to sleep, but thats part of the fun right?

Fuan No Tane

Now this is a manga full of short stories about urban legends and ghosts and just really creepy stuff! It isn't really gory as much as just stories that will eat your thoughts up and make you feel as if someone(something) is watching you. This manga gave me the most trouble sleeping so be warned!

Uzumaki

This manga comes in 3 volumes and is definitely worth a read. This doesn't have ghosts, but it is gory and more of a "what the hell is going on here?!" kind of a story. I loved this manga since im more into gore than paranormal activity. I would consider this manga to be my favorite!

Ibitsu

You're just walking home one day when you see a girl dressed up in a lolita outfit in the garbage. She asks you one simple question; Do you like your sister? What happens next is what you'll have to find out by reading this! It's a ghost type of manga, although i didn't find it that scary since the likelihood of me coming across a lolita girl is pretty small. Be warned though, there are scenes where you see nudity (which kinda ruined the story for me). 

Tomie

A bunch of stories surrounding this girl called Tomie that creates havoc all over the place! Guys think she's so beautiful and become so obsessed with her that they want to chop her up, which doesn't end up well.

Short Stories

The following are some stories by Junji Ito that are part of his horror collections. I really liked these, but they're not long enough stories for me to really go in depth about. I do recommend you check these out though!

♥ September 2013 Favorites ♥

This is my first time doing a monthly favorite so i hope i'm doing this right! This month I discovered some new products and rediscovered some of the things i already have. I do have to apologize for the quality of the pictures though, its always kinda dark in my room so i can't take best quality pictures here. :(

First is my Nintendo 3DSXL and animal crossing. Every since i got my 3DS i have been absolutely addicted to it, there hasn't been one day where i didn't play! Animal crossing is my favorite game right now, i feel like its my responsibility to check up on my town everyday and to get to know the villagers!

This lush product smells a m a z i n g. It smells super fresh like citrus and grapefruit! This is perfect for when you feel like you have oily or icky hair but don't have time to shampoo. The powder absorbs the oils in your hair. I thought the price of this product is pretty fair since i bought it for only Php 575! Other dry shampoos usually cost over Php 1k. 

My mum bought this facial moisturizer for me out of nowhere (aw my mums so sweet!), and i really dig this! Although it's just a simple moisturizer by Neutrogena,  it doesn't feel heavy for sticky, and it gets easily absorbed by my skin. My skin is pretty sensitive, and this moisturizer doesn't irritate my skin at all. Plus it has SPF 15 so it's good protection from the sun too!

The other month i *accidentally* dropped my perfume and the bottle cracked a bit, so i stored it away so it wouldn't leak all over the place. I completely forgot about this perfume but i rediscovered it and it's my favorite smell right now. I really love the Daisy line by Marc Jacobs because they smell so fresh!

My Everyday Makeup Routine

Before you put on a bunch of make up on your face make sure you cleaned and prepped it properly! Have a good facial wash and a good facial lotion that will keep your skin looking fresh and wont clog your pores. I'll discuss some essentials that you should have in your make up bag and the products that i use. 

♥ Deodorant ♥

This is totally optional, but you could do this before you put on your makeup. If you sweat alot or if you're worried your makeup will slide off you can spray your face with some anti-antiperspirant deoderant. Make sure it ANTIPERSPIRANT okay? Cause this kind of deoderant helps you stop sweating so much, while the other kind will just cover up the smell. I don't recommend this for daily use but you could definitely spray your face when you know youre going to a hot place or you wanna make sure your makeup wont slide off!

BB Cream 

(Too Cool For School bento box)

BB cream is essential, this evens out your skintone in your whole face and has sometimes even helped people minimize acne! Just get like a pea sized amount, dab it on the 5 spots of your face and spread it. Apply more if needed. And dont worry if it's a bit too light for your skintone, BB cream oxidizes which means that it will always match your skin!

Facial Powder

Use facial powder to help set the bb cream and it kicks butt when it comes to shininess and oiliness. Make sure that your powder has a proper hue to match you so you don't look like a floating head! 

Blush 

(Maybeline Blush 'em! 04 I LOVE PINK! &

 The Body Shop Blush Brush) 

Ive been using this blush for a while now, and i think it pretty great. The color isn't too POP WOW IN YO FACE, so you can put a decent amount on and it would still look natural.

♥ Eyes and Eyebrows ♥

Liquid Eyeliner

(Etude House Oh~ m'Eye Line)

Liquid eyeliners are great for making a clean straight line on your eyes. They are not great for smokey eyes. I've been using this eyeliner for 4 bottles now, each have lasted me a good 4 months at least! This eyeliner also doesn't smudge or melt away with a little water, so this is great in hot/humid climates!

Eyeliner Pencil 

(Too Cool For School 1 day Tattoo Waterproof Eyeliner)

To line your waterlines you can use this eyeliner because it seriously is super waterproof. If i put this on at 630 in the morning by 9pm my waterlines are still lined! 

Eyeshadow

(Daiso Brush & Essence Quatro Eyeshadow)

I got the brush from Daiso, the japanese dollar store. It was 66 pesos when i bought it, and it came with two other brushes. It's pretty cheap but so far it has held up! Use the brush to cover your eyeliner with the eyeshadow. This way your eyeliner won't be shiny and it will stay longer on your eyes before coming off. 

Mascara

(M.A.C. False Lashes Extreme Black)

I think mascara really finishes your eyes with any look. I think this mascara is ok. It isn't the best or the worst, but it works. I think it's my eyelashes that are the problem, cause you need something to begin with to be able to work on. 

In the end, i dont know if i am putting on make up right or wrong but this is how I do it and it has worked out for me for a long time now. If you have any questions just leave the below and i will get back at cha. <3
